Welcome,

on my page „self-study Course 1-Digital Painting-Landscapes“

From photo to digital artwork. Here are a few examples of what I mean by digital  painting and the diverse stylistic possibilities this technique opens up

1. Example: waves

The waves I took hundreds of photos on the beach on the Atlantic coast in France. Some of them inspired me to edit them digitally. I am happy with the result. I was able to convey everything that moved me emotionally about this minimalist landscape in the new work. This resulted in images that I then  printed on fine art paper and framed.

2. Example: Beach and dunes

3. Example: Forest and field

During our hikes through forests and fields, the most beautiful motifs always catch my eye. In the  seemingly untouched nature, the hiking trails and  forests, through which the sun‘s rays penetrate, often transform into a romantic light. It seems as if time stands still. I always enjoy capturing this atmosphere and transferring it into a digital image.

4. Example: Cornfield

This is the first of a total of five motifs  covered in my course. It is a simplified representation.  It shows a cornfield and sky, with a few wind turbines on the horizon. This image is a good way to demonstrate my approach at the beginning. It is less complex than the works shown above and technically easy to understand.

On the next page, you will find important details about the  self-study course „Course 1-Digital Painting-Landscapes“

So, those were a few examples from the Landscapes repertoire. Of course, the range of topics I cover is much broader. But the topics of portraits, historic  buildings, and still lifes will be covered later in myYouTube videos.
